Reminders

1. Encourage a spirit of enquiry, using well-timed input that enriches discussion but does not dictate its direction.
2. Create a relaxed and accommodating atmosphere that encourages open-mindedness, objectivity and respect for the views of others.
3. Help students understand the background and values of different parties. Guide them to recognize “subjective” viewpoints, and also to critically evaluate and interpret “objective” information.
4. Help students realise that the issues covered by the e-portal involve different stakeholders, and some of them may be controversial.
